Justin Wilson, who won the raceIndyCar at the Texas oval last weekend, and Ed Carpenter were penalized following technical checks carried out after the finish of the seventh event of the season. Wilson was fined $7500 and five penalty points for using an unauthorized aerodynamic element. For his part, Carpenter was deducted a point and will have to pay a fine of $5000 since an element of his rear wing was non-compliant. The race result remains unchanged.
