The list of drivers penalized following the Fontana event in California last weekend has been published by race officials. IndyCar Series. The reigning champion, Australian Will Power (Team Penske – Chevrolet) was fined $25.000 and placed on probation until the end of the season for misconduct towards an official.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing was penalized for the DW12 – Honda n°15 of winner Graham Rahal by $10.000 (including $5.000 suspended) after the incident which saw Rahal leave the pits during a stop with a piece of the refueling pipe . Tristan Vautier, who hit one of the Dale Coyne Racing mechanics while returning to the pits, was also fined $10.000 and is placed on probation until the end of the season.
