Ryan Briscoe takes his first victory of the season in IndyCar during the Sonoma Grand Prix. The Australian took advantage of the safety car entering the track following the collision between Sébastien Bourdais and Josef Newgarden to take first place. Previously, Will Power dominated the event, but he had to settle for second place ahead of Dario Franchitti. Rubens Barrichello signs his best performance of the year by finishing fourth. For his part, simon pagenaud won the title of “Rookie of the Year” thanks to his seventh place.
