IndyCar – Tagliani on pole in Texas

Alex Tagliani took pole position at Texas Motor Speedway, scene of the seventh round of the seasonIndyCar. Powered by Honda since the Indianapolis 500, the Canadian has come back to life since his car is no longer powered by the Lotus block. Thanks to two laps completed at an average of 215,691 miles per hour, Tagliani will start on the front row alongside Dario Franchitti. Graham Rahal set the third fastest time in this session ahead of Scott Dixon and championship leader Will Power. For his second experience on an oval, the French simon pagenaud set the 11th fastest time in qualifying, less than four tenths behind Tagliani.
