The Tampa Bay Times announced that a spectator at the St Petersburg GP on March 29 had been injured in the head by a piece of debris. The victim was hospitalized for a skull fracture. The Chevrolet and Honda aero kits caused many problems for the organizers, the slightest contact frequently involving the loss of elements.
