Alexander Rossi dominates first Road America tests

Alexander Red (Andretti Autosport – Honda) was the fastest of the day on Friday during the two free practice sessions at the Road America meeting in IndyCar.

The American completed a best lap in 1'43″120 during FP2, and is ahead of Will Power (Team Penske – Chevrolet) by almost three tenths. Josef Newgarden (Team Penske), Colton Herta (Harding Steinbrenner Racing – Honda) and Felix Rosenqvist (Chip Ganassi Racing – Honda), all having set their benchmark time in FP2, complete the top 5.

Combined with the times of the two sessions, Sébastien Bourdais (Dale Coyne Racing with Vasser Sullivan – Honda) and simon pagenaud (Team Penske) finished the day in 15th and 16th places, Bourdais having achieved his time in EL2, Pagenaud having completed his benchmark in EL1.
