Helio Castroneves (team Penske), starting from pole, won the raceIndyCar Series from Twin Ring Motegi, Japan. The Brazilian won ahead of Dario Franchitti (Target Chip Ganassi Racing) and Will Power (team Penske). The latter, in the lead since the start of the season, retains the reins of the general classification but only has a twelve point lead over Dario Franchitti, who retains his title chances.
