Fernando Alonso, who will take part in this year's Indianapolis 500 next May with a DW12 – Chevrolet operated by McLaren, announced that he will drive a car bearing the number 66.

This number was chosen by the double world champion F1 and the winner of the last 24 Hours of Le Mans, to celebrate the first success of the Woking brand in 1972 with the M16 n°66 of Mark Donohue.
