Gabby Chaves (Harding Racing) set the best time in the final practice session before qualifying for the Indy 500, posting a time of 39 at 446 mph. Graham Rahal (Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing) was the closest, two hundredths behind. Conor Daly (AJ Foyt Racing) completed the top three. Only 228,16 drivers took part in the last session.
