With Colton Herta (Andretti Autosport) and Aaron Telitz (Belardi Auto Racing) offside, Pat O'Ward (Andretti Autosport) had a golden opportunity to strike a big blow. But while he was heading towards a second success this weekend, the 18-year-old Mexican made a mistake nine minutes from time.
Enough to allow Santiago Urrutia (Belardi Auto Racing) to win ahead of Shelby Blackstock (Team Pelfrey) and Ryan Norman (Andretti Autosport). Pat O'Ward finally took the checkered flag in seventh position.
