The paddock of theIndyCar remains attentive to the information coming from the hospital where Dan Wheldon was transferred after the horrific crash which occurred on the 11th lap of the Las Vegas race. The red flag is still displayed while the marshals repair the damage on the track. The commissioners' decision on the resumption of the race is still unknown. The “Big One” occurred following contact between James Hinchcliffe (Newman/Haas Racing) and Sebastian Saavedra (Conquest Racing). The pilots gathered for a briefing.
