The New Hampshire race will have seen many yellow flags due to rain. Despite the wet track, the officials decided to launch a final restart which turned out to be catastrophic since a pile-up took place. Will Power (Team Penske), involved in the accident, was very angry with the officials, even if the final result was revised.
“I begged them not to hand over the green flag”, exclaimed Will Power. “The track did not allow us to leave again. It's scandalous, it put a lot of pilots in danger. I just don't understand this choice, what were they doing? They can't use Brian Barnhart (Director of Discipline) in charge, he makes bad decisions all the time. Shame on him! »
