Eric Bachelart's Conquest team has just confirmed the recruitment of young Colombian Sebastian Saavedra to compete in the 2011 season.IndyCar. Yesterday, Saavedra was at the wheel of the No. 34 Dallara Honda during testing which began yesterday at the Barber Motorsport Park circuit.
The Colombian, just twenty-years old, had already competed in the final round of the 2010 IndyCar season at Miami-Homestead with Conquest Racing. Earlier in the season, he also took part in the Indy500 with Brian Herta's team, becoming the first driver in history born in 1990 to enter the event.
Before that, Saavedra ranked 2nd in the German championship F3 in 2008 with three victories. Then 3rd in the Indy Lights championship in 2009 with the title of best beginner
