On the St Petersburg urban circuit which he particularly likes having won there last year, Graham Rahal (the son of former champion Bobby Rahal) was the most efficient (1'03"408 ) during the second free practice session. The young American is ahead of the Englishman Justin Wilson (1'03"588) who was his teammate last season at the Newman team.Haas-Lanigan and who now rides for the modest Dale Coyne Racing structure. The Scotsman Dario Franchitti sets the 3rd time (1'03"700).
