Scott Dixon won the Mid-Ohio race, beating Ryan Briscoe and Dario Franchitti by almost thirty seconds. Dixon took the lead just before the halfway mark, then increasing his lead lap after lap, and taking advantage of the pit stops to consolidate his position. The New Zealander, with this success, takes the lead in the championship, ahead of Ryan Briscoe and Dario Franchitti.
