Committed to 24 Hours of Le Mans in the SMP Racing Dallara P217, Russian Mikhail Aleshin was unable to leave France to return to the United States, due to “immigration-related problems”. The Schmidt Peterson Motorsports team, for which Aleshin drives, is doing everything possible to resolve the situation, but the Muscovite will not be aligned with the car DW12 – Honda No. 7 for this Friday’s runs in Wisconsin.

Sam Schmidt's structure has nominated the Canadian Robert Wickens, resident of the championship DTM with Mercedes, to evolve on n°7, until the problem is resolved. Wickens had recently been able to taste driving an IndyCar single-seater, already with SPM.
