Team Penske finished at the front in the second practice session of the Sonoma GP (California). Josef Newgarden remained in control by setting a time of 1’16”2485, three hundredths ahead of simon pagenaud. Helio Castroneves followed at six hundredths, while Will Power completed this leading quartet at less than a tenth.
Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing) is also on the pace as he finished sixth behind Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autosport). Sebastian Bourdais (Dale Coyne Racing) placed 12th.
