Will Power (Penske) set the best time in the final free practice session for the Grand Prix of Alabama on Saturday afternoon in 1'07″343. The Australian is ahead of Robert Wickens (Schmidt Peterson Motorsport) by two tenths and Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi) by almost four tenths.

simon pagenaud (Penske) is seventh, half a second behind; Sébastien Bourdais (Dale Coyne Racing) is ninth, almost seven tenths behind.

The red flag was displayed several times to clear the car of Ed Jons (Chip Ganassi) planted in the gravel trap, then to bring back Charlie Kimball (Carlin), stopped at the side of the track. Jordan King (Ed Carpenter) also finished his session in the clearances after a collision against the protections.
