Schmidt Peterson Motorsports recruited several headliners during the winter break. Todd Malloy, from Chip Ganassi Racing, will take on the role of technical director, replacing Allen McDonald who left for Ed Carpenter Racing. Billy Vincent also joins the SPM team as team principal after defending the interests of Team Penske.
Schmidt Peterson Motorsports will compete with a Canadian crew composed of James Hinchcliffe and Robert Wickens.
