Impressive fourth in the third free practice session of the St Petersburg Grand Prix, did Jordan King do too much? Still, the Briton from Ed Carpenter Racing ended this final session prematurely after going to crash his car in the piles of tires.
The best time finally went to Scott Dixon, in 1'00"7571. The Chip Ganassi Racing star was a tenth ahead of Josef Newgarden and Will Power, who both represent the interests of Team Penske. The top five is completed by Jordan King and the surprising Matheus Leist (AJ Foyt Enterprises).
French side, simon pagenaud (Team Penske) is sixth at 0”3, while Sébastien Bourdais (Dale Coyne Racing) set the fifteenth fastest time, 0” from the reference mark.
The serious things begin this afternoon with qualifying, which will begin at 20:20 p.m. French time.
