Regarding the bonus of 5 million dollars offered to a “guest”, in the event of his victory in Las Vegas (last round of the championship IndyCar, October 16), the outspoken Canadian Paul Tracy declared that the organizer would do better to use this money elsewhere. “ I would say: “Paul, if you can sell the tickets, I wouldn’t have to do this”, replied Randy Bernard, President of Indycar. Our pilots have not been able to create the credibility they deserve. Not that they don?t have talent, it?s just that our fans don?t have as emotional an attachment. What we want is to bring it to them. We want to show that our drivers are among the best in the world. We want to gain credibility. And let those who do not believe it come and see it ».
