In 2010, Lotus entered into a partnership agreement with KV Racing in IndyCar. This is how Takuma Sato found himself behind the wheel of a car sporting the colors of the British manufacturer. From one car in 2010, perhaps four green and yellow single-seaters will be rampant in IndyCar this year.

“This year we will enter two or even three cars, Lotus Motorsports Director Claudio Berro told us. Regarding the drivers, Takuma Sato should be joined by EJ Viso. James Rossiter (ex-Bar-Honda tester, Editor's note) being one of our development drivers, we would love to see him behind the wheel. It could be that he does the rounds on road circuits and that an American does the rounds on ovals. Getting Lotus to win again in Indianapolis is a major challenge. For 2011 it will perhaps be a little early, but why not in 2012 when we will have developed our own engine and our own aerodynamic kit. »
