L?IndyCar announced that it would investigate the death of Dan Wheldon (Sam Schmidt Motorsports) with the support of the Automobile Competition Committee of the USA (ACCUS) and the FIA. But the organizers of the discipline subsequently clarified that the previously mentioned federations would not be directly involved in the investigation.
