The Schmidt Peterson Motorsports team provided brief information regarding Robert Wickens who was seriously injured in his accident last Sunday in Pocono (Pennsylvania). The 2011 Formula champion Renault 3.5 Series is able to breathe without medical assistance and can speak to his family.
The Canadian underwent surgery earlier in the week at the level of his right arm and his lower limbs, but it is the injuries to his spinal cord which are of most concern, the extent of the lesions being still undetermined.
