Unhappy in Sao Paulo for the season opener, Ryan Briscoe hopes that the second event in St Petersburg this weekend will smile more on him.
After being part of the leading group for 43 laps during the inaugural round, the Penske driver was involved in an imbroglio which caused him to fall to 14th place. But he intends to close his gap on the championship leaders this weekend during the second round.

“I love St Petersburg, declares the Australian. It?s always an exciting race for me. It's a very difficult race on a great track. Last year I had a good car and has always been in the right group. Then we benefited from a bit of luck since we entered the pits at the time of a yellow flag. It was subsequently a great race with Wilson (Justin, editor's note). In the end there were a few restarts but I was able to keep the lead. This year I am once again expecting a very competitive race. »
