James Hinchcliffe released from hospital

Accidented on May 18 during free practice for the Indianapolis 500, and suffering from injuries to his thigh and pelvic region, Canadian James Hinchcliffe underwent surgery immediately at IU Health Methodist Hospital. Released from the intensive care unit on May 20, he had been observing since his convalescence in the hospital. The Schmidt Peterson Motorsports – Honda driver finally left the establishment this Wednesday and will continue his recovery at home. He has not yet been cleared to return to competition.

If Ryan Briscoe had taken a seat in the No. 12 Dallara DW5 during the Indy 500, it would have been conor daly who will be there this weekend in Detroit, Michigan for the only double-header of the season.
