Former pilot of the Team Ferrari, Jean Alesi was able to demonstrate Pirelli's future 18″ tires on the sidelines of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
The Frenchman took his place in a car F2 development, equipped with 18″ wheels and thus complete a lap of the Lombard Autodrome. Remember that the FIA F2 will welcome 18″ tires from 2020, before the F1 does not follow suit a year later at the time of the expected major change in technical regulations.
