“With all the experience he has on the ovals of his career Nascar and adding it to his 2021 experience, we think the IndyCar ovals will work in his favor. I can’t wait for the 2022 season to start,” indicates Chip Ganassi, the founder and boss of the eponymous team.
“Last season was so amazing for me and I made a lot of progress, so I know I can be competitive on the tracks I have experience at. I can’t wait to do the Indianapolis 500, it’s a childhood dream come true,” confirms Jimmie Johnson, who did no better than 17th place in the race in 2021 (Laguna Seca and Long Beach).
