As announced several months ago on AUTOhebdo.fr, Marcus Armstrong will play a third year of Formula 2. After a very disappointing campaign as a rookie with ART Grand Prix in 2020 punctuated in 13th place, the Tricolore changed creameries in 2021 and signed for DAMS, the other French structure on the grid. But the results were hardly better, with a new 13th place in the championship, despite a first victory in a sprint race in Jeddah.
It is now with Hitech Grand Prix that the New Zealander will try his luck for the third time in Formula 2, alongside the driver Red Bull Jüri Vips, announced last week. Note that Marcus Armstrong is no longer in the Ferrari Driver Academy, after five years spent with Maranello.
