Kyle Busch has long expressed his desire to participate in the Indianapolis 500. The double champion NASCAR Cup Series 2015 and 2019 could see his dream come true in the very short term.
Zak Brown, Managing Director of Mclaren racing, indicated that his team IndyCar was considering entering a fourth Chavrolet-powered car for the next edition of the 500 miles. Busch's signing with Richard Childress Racing therefore paves the way for this participation.
If Arrow McLaren SP, McLaren's IndyCar structure, is able to reach an agreement with Busch, Menards - historic Chevrolet preparer - could be the sponsor. As a side note, team founder Sam Schmidt is from Las Vegas like Kyle Busch.
