Lando Norris (Carlin) set the best time in the free practice session in F2 at Paul Ricard with a best mark of 1’45”562. He is less than a tenth ahead of his compatriot George Russell (ART GP). Maximilian Günther (Arden) places himself in third position ahead Nyck de Vries (Prema Racing) and Louis Delétraz (Charouz Racing).
Despite mechanical problems during the session, Alexander albon (DAMS) signs on 6e time ahead of Luca Ghiotto at the wheel of his Campos. Jack Aitken (ART GP) is once again behind his teammate with 8e time while Roy Nissany (Campos) and Artem Markelov (Russian Time) complete the top 10.
