Long in the lead, Nobuharu Matsushita (ART GP) finished the session in 4e position and ahead of Nyck De Vries (Racing Engineering). Oliver Rowland (DAMS) sets 6e free practice time in front of Alex Albon (ART GP) and Jordan King (MP Motorsport).
Louis Delétraz (Rapax) is 9e while Antonio Fuoco (Prema) completes the top 10 just ahead of Norman Nato (Arden).
