The FIA took its time to make its decision. Theo Pourchaire was penalized 5 seconds for his overtaking of Marcus Armstrong. The Frenchman, who had infiltrated the inside in the double right of Beausset, had pushed the New Zealander off the track to gain 3rd place.

Ultimately, the FIA decided that the action was not within the rules. With these 5 seconds added to the ART driver's time, Pourchaire lost his podium and fell to 7th place. It is Felipe Drugovich, championship leader, who climbs to 3rd position.

Among the others penalized, Juri Vips received a 5-second penalty, for the same reason as Pourchaire. The Estonian is ejected from the points zone. Marcus Armstrong, victim but also guilty of an accident with Daruvala, also received a 5-second penalty.
