Definitely in Olympic form, the championship leader Oscar piastri (Prema) set the best time in the free practice session at the Abu Dhabi meeting. The Australian beat beginner Jack Doohan (MP Motorsport), who discovered the category last weekend in Jeddah, and Dane Christian Lundgaard (ART Grand Prix).
The three men were on a different pace than the rest of the competition, since Ralph Boschung (Campos), best of the others, was half a second behind the reference time. On the French side, Clément Novalak (MP Motorsport) set a very good 5th time. Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) is 12th, 1″1 behind Doohan. Qualifying will take place this Friday at 15:30 p.m. French time.
