Santino Ferrucci returning full-time to AJ Foyt Racing
His performance at the 500 Indianapolis 2022, when it was his only race scheduled in IndyCar with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing (10th) did not go unnoticed. Santino Ferrucci was recruited by the AJ Foyt Racing in order to compete in the entire 2023 IndyCar season.

“Running for a legend like AJ Foyt is a dream come true, said the 24-year-old Californian. I like to think of myself as an "old school" driver who loves cross-country race cars and gets behind the wheel of anything with four wheels and an engine. So to drive for a guy like AJ, knowing that he has driven everything throughout his career, it will be the chance of a lifetime for me. »
Santino Ferrucci had not had a full campaign in IndyCar since 2020 (13th with Dale Coyne Racing). Since then, the American had tried his hand at NASCAR Xfinity Series as well as midget races on ovals.

Santino Ferrucci joins rookie Benjamin Pedersen at AJ Foyt Racing, while the third wheel should be retained by Dalton Kellett.
