Santino Ferrucci will make his debut in F2 by joining Team Trident for the last five meetings of the season. The Haas Development Pilot F1 Team, which will take part in the F1 tests carried out in Budapest (Hungary) after the Grand Prix, will be there this weekend at the Hungaroring, playing alongside Nabil Jeffri. The Connecticut native will replace Callum Ilott.
“Santino already had the chance to test one of our GP3s during post-season testing last November in Abu Dhabi, recalls Giacomo Ricci, the team manager of Trident. He achieved results there which impressed the staff by consistently remaining in the top five. He will now make his F2 debut in Budapest and I am sure he will get used to it very quickly. Thanks to his F1 experience, he will have no trouble handling the power and carbon brakes. »
