Winner of the last meeting of the Formula E, in Cape Town (South Africa) at the end of February, Antonio Felix da Costa is still riding his good momentum. The Portuguese achieved the best time in Free Practice 2 on the São Paulo circuit, in Brazil. The pilot Porsche beat Maximilian Günther in the very last seconds of the session, with a time of 1'11″496, 0″266 better than the German.

Leading the session for a long time, Norman Nato finally finished in 3rd place, a thousandth behind Günther, just ahead of the championship leader, Pascal Wehrlein, who placed the 2nd Porsche in the top 4. A slightly read session complicated for the two other French people, since Jean-Éric Vergne and Sacha Fenestraz are respectively 18th and 20th in Free Practice 2. For his return to competition, Robin Frijns was inserted between the two Tricolores in 19th position.
