Verschoor, from Trident to Van Amersfoort

Happy birthday Richard Verschoor! As a gift for the 22-year-old Dutch driver, his new team Van Amersfoort Racing has just announced their joint collaboration for the 2023 season of Formula 2. Thirteenth last year within the Italian structure Trident with a victory under his belt, the Batavian will take part in his second full season, having also participated in 6 of the 8 rounds of 2021 with MP Motorsport.

As a reminder, Richard Verschoor had already taken part in the end-of-season Formula 2 tests with the Dutch team. We do not yet know the identity of his future teammate. “I am extremely excited to return to the F2 grid in 2023 and I am really happy to do it with Van Amersfoort Racing, he confided.”

“It’s special to be able to announce it also on my 22nd birthday! As VAR and I have grown a lot over the last year in F2, I am very confident for the upcoming season. For me, testing with VAR during the post-season testing in Abu Dhabi immediately confirmed their extreme determination to grow further, and that fits my attitude very well! It’s going to be an exciting year and I’m particularly looking forward to racing in Melbourne, not to mention Zandvoort. I’m ready for another year of excitement in F2!”
