Triple winner Jean-Marie Cuoq absent, Bryan Bouffier, winner in 2015, was present on Ford WRC, just like Lofiego on the Fiesta R5. The duel between these two men promised to be hot, especially given the weather conditions. SS 1 was neutralized following a VHC going off the road, before Lofiego won SS2 in fog which caused problems for Bouffier's co-driver.

He returned 37'' behind the leader and was even beaten by an excellent Barral in his little Clio. The next day, Bouffier set the record straight in Burzet and took 18''. He did it again in the following to come back to 2''. In the final stage, Lofiego won again to score a great victory at home. In the group F2000, Masclaux achieved a flawless performance by signing all the scratches to win by more than 3' over his brother Jérome.

For Group N, Charnay (Clio RS) set the best time during the first stage, but he retired the next day with a mechanical problem. Levêque won in the end ahead of Jean (Clio). Scratch winner in 2004, Poudrel won the GT group and entered the Top 10.
