Regional winner at home at the start of the season, Christophe Wilt won his first victory at the national level in the event at Stade Béthunois. Big favorite, Stéphane Lefebvre lost from the start, more than 2′ due to a faulty gearbox. Discovering the behavior of an R5, Heuninck then pulled first before downgrading following a poor choice of tires, behind Wilt then Saint Requier at the end of the 1re stage. The next day, the former pilot of rallycross successfully controlled the expected attacks from Heuninck and especially from Lefebvre who finally almost managed to overcome his initial handicap. The Top 5 was completed by Saint Requier and Bayard who debuted a Fiesta R5. In Group F2000, Thérache finally reached the goal despite a few twists and turns on Saturday. Legrand and Eiglsperger took second place after WECxsteen withdrew. Also in difficulty for a moment, Gaquère regained the ascendancy in group N against Macron. B. Sailly
