Yoann Bonato (Citroën C3 R5) is the first leader of the 70th edition of the Rally Mont Blanc Morzine. The Team CHL driver is ahead of Lionel Baud (DS 3 WRC) de 4 dixièmes tandis que Quentin Gilbert (Skoda Fabia R5) suit à 7 secondes devant les Hyundai i20 R5 de Bryan Bouffier et Quentin Giordano.
La première spéciale a déjà fait des dégâts chez les concurrents puisque David Salanon (Ford Fiesta WRC) a abandonné sur problème mécanique. Anthony Cosson (Porsche 997 GT3) a mis pied à terre victime d’une casse de la courroie d’accessoire.
