Junior World Champion in 2003 and French S1600 champion in 2002, Brice Tirabassi will make his return to high level this year in the French Terrestrial Rally Championship. Aged 40, Tirabassi played his last rally in 2010, after also taking part in two events in WRC in 2008 on a Subaru.

C'est sur une Hyundai i20 R5 du Sarrazin Motorsport que l’on retrouvera Brice Tirabassi sur les épreuves hexagonales. “I am very happy to be back in competition, explains the Frenchman. I was already itching for the idea last season, but I wanted a complete program, in good conditions. It was Jacques-Julien Renucci, my former co-driver, who directed me towards Sarrazin Motorsport.

The feeling went well and I was seduced by the idea of driving the Hyundai i20 R5, a new car with a lot of potential. My last rally was in 2010, but I'm not coming back for the simple pleasure of riding. The goal will be victory!

At the same time, there are many parameters that I do not control: for example, we do not yet know the drivers who are candidates for the title and those who will come occasionally. The possibility of reusing notes from past years may also be a handicap for me. In any case, the main thing is to come back and find piloting on land. This is the surface of my beginnings, the one that I like the most. »
