Catalonia, SS3: Ogier’s reaction!
On this third special of Rally of Catalonia 2022, contested in the opposite direction compared to the previous edition, Sébastien Ogier and Benjamin Veillas (Toyota) ont sonné la charge. L’octuple champion du monde des rallyes (WRC) set the best time in one of the longest stages of the event.
This performance allowed him to take the lead in the Rally of Catalonia, not ahead of Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota), but ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Les écarts continuent à se creuser : seuls Neuville, Rovanperä, Thank you and Evans are less than 10 seconds behind the French leader.
Other French people did not have as much fun on this SS: Pierre-Louis Loubet (Ford) and Yohan Rossel (Citroën) suffered two punctures, each time on the left front wheel. The first named lost precious time while the WRC2 driver limited the damage.
