Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) was the big loser of the Vero – Sarrola – Carcopino special, the longest route of the Tour de Corse with 55,17km timed. The Finn lost almost two minutes following a puncture.

His teammate Ott Tänak was the fastest with a time of 33'46''9 where he beat his direct rival Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) of more than 13s. Kris Meeke (Citroën) was the closest, 12 seconds behind. Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) is three tenths behind the Belgian with a little more than six seconds ahead of Sébastien Loeb (Citroen). By finishing almost 23 seconds from the scratch, Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) only gained three tenths from Dani Sordo (Hyundai). Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) finished 35 seconds behind.

Sébastien Ogier still has a 31-second lead over Ott Tänak. Thierry Neuville is now 13”3 behind the Estonian. Dani Sordo is the first to take advantage of Esapekka Lappi's problems and finds himself in fourth position, maintaining less than three seconds ahead of Elfyn Evans. Andreas Mikkelsen climbs to sixth place but his lead over Esapekka Lappi is only 1 seconds before the Power Stage.
