Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) once again claimed the scratch in the 17,6km of Bavella, the SS4 of the Tour de Corse, with a time of 10'17''5 where he regained almost 3 seconds from Ott Tänak (Toyota). Kris Meeke (Toyota) followed just over 3 seconds ahead Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) who preceded Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota), Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) was further back with more than 7 seconds behind, preceding Dani Sordo (Hyundai). Sebastian Loeb (Hyundai) still struggles by dropping 9 seconds on the reference.
Elfyn Evans regains the lead of the race for just over a second ahead of Ott Tänak. Thierry Neuville takes some air from Dani Sordo while Teemu Suninen threatens the Spaniard. Jari-Matti Latvala remains 6th ahead of Sébastien Ogier who has taken over from his teammate Esapekka Lappi. Kris Meeke is ranked 9th, well ahead of Sébastien Loeb.
