Croatia – SS2: Rovanperä continues in the rain

Beginning of Rally from Croatia perfect for Kalle Rovanperä. Author of the best time of SS1, the Finn doubled the lead during SS2 this Friday morning. With a time of 13'14″2, the championship leader had no trouble getting ahead once again Thierry Neuville. Sur la ligne, le pilote Toyota a devancé celui de Hyundai of 7″5.

Ott Tänak got somewhat closer to the leading group but the Estonian finished 17″5 behind Kalle Rovanperä who is starting to create a small gap overall. The Finn is now 11″6 ahead of Thierry Neuville and 33″5 over Tänak after 2 special stages.

A little further down the rankings, the gaps are already being felt with Elfyn Evans in 9th position already relegated to 1'47″7. Esapekka Lappi has not returned to the road since his stop during SS1. The Finn will return to the service park to repair his Yaris but his hopes of victory are up in smoke.
