While the crews compete in the penultimate special of the Rally Mont-Blanc Morzine, Jean-Marie Cuoq (Citroën C4 WRC) is stopped on the Samoens-Morzine route following a puncture in the previous special. Not having a spare wheel, the reigning champion had to retire. Julien Maurin (Ford Fiesta WRC) is now in the lead with a good lead over the Subaru Impreza WRC of Eric Brunson who takes second place ahead of the Mini Countryman WRC of Pierre Roché.
