Hitting very hard by winning the first four scratches, the young “Mitsubishist” Bourrel seemed to be heading towards victory when his car landed in a ditch. Rouillard thought he would recover the jackpot, but that was without counting on the return of Da Cunha who, on Saturday evening, was less than 5” ahead of the Toulouse native. On Sunday, he nibbled his deficit, coming back to 2"5, before stumbling in the penultimate time trial (capricious pod) and losing again in the final, which put an end to the suspense which marked this 32e editing. Patrick, sailed this time by his son, however preserves the place of runner-up in front of Roca, very incisive at the wheel of the Subaru WRC. Nice group shot from the Clio R3s of Bazalgette and Delagne who scrapped hard, keeping that of Puech at bay. Azema showed his pretensions in group N from the outset while Lepillez, spearhead of the group F2000, was betrayed by the mechanics of his 206, the cup going to the efficient Keskic. J.Teitgen
