Born in 1946, Michel Jacquier-Laforge died last week following a cerebral hemorrhage, at the age of 66. He launched into preparation in 1973 by creating Squale which would later become Politecnic. A true jack of all trades and one-man band, Michel Jacquier-Laforge has built a superb track record around his various achievements (Alpine A110 and A310, Matra Murena 4X4, Citroën Visa 4X4, BMX 321 i 4X4 and M3) in disciplines as different as rally, rallycross, Supertourism or Andros Trophy. Many drivers have raced under his colors including Bruno Saby, Jean-Pierre Beltoise, Max Mamers, Denis Marcel and Michel Ferté. The entire AUTOhebdo editorial team sends its most sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
