They expected to suffer due to their lack of speed deficit, the Ford Fiestas were already left behind at the end of the first Saturday special in Estonia. Teemu Suninen, and to a lesser extent Esapekka Lappi, spent around ten seconds in SS2, Prangli 1.
The new leader of the event is Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) winner of the morning special ahead of Elfyn Evans (Toyota) and Ott Tänak (Hyundai). French Sébastien Ogier signed the 4th time.
The young Finn (19 years old) at the same time takes the head of the Rally from Estonia, a first for the son of Harri Rovanperä.
Debutant Pierre-Louis Loubet (Hyundai) and his teammate Vincent Landais completed their first “real” special with the i20 WRC. The Corsican driver is 10th, 19″1 behind Kalle Rovanperä.
